Doughnuts
As a devoted consumer of doughnuts, I really have to comment on the questionable quality of the products served at Bunker's Dunkers. Apparently they are suffering from a severe frosting shortage, and use it only sparingly. They also seem to glaze only the top half of the doughnuts. This is supposed to be Saba's old recipe, although I am sure that he would be spinning in his grave if he saw them now.

What? Sparingly using chocolate frosting on the chocolate donut? Notify Hasting's Funeral Home for a decrease in funerals over the next few years. Maybe they need a stimulus to get it back to full fat content.
That last comment appears to imply that Randy Bunkers is merely looking out for our health. I absolutely love it when other people force their behavior on us because they know best.
Anonymous is probably also a big supporter of government-run health care. Look, I can guarantee that the couple of tablespoons of icing that he is keeping us from consuming makes virtually no difference in our diet, but when multiplied by tens of thousands of doughnuts makes a rather significant difference in Mr. Bunker's pocketbook.
My considered opinion is: Don't care, doesn't matter.
The only REAL donuts worth your time are the raised glazed. Don't waste calories chewing the frosted ones when the truly delicious donuts are in the next tray over. Bunker's rules!!
i remember when my dad bought some long johns up there years ago he bit into one and lo and behold was a deepfat fried cockroach right in the middle, a few years later another friend of mine had the same thing happen to him he turned around and went back up and got his money back as for me what can i say i still luv those donuts!
Bunkers is not owned by the government so fortunately they can make their products any way they desire. And those of you who are complaining can open up your own donut shop and make them your way.
I thought Bunker's was run by the government! Can someone else check this for me? I'm pretty sure Bunkers is the Federal Government Donut Shop...
No Silly...Bunkers is not run by the government! Rather the government has 'the runs' after snacking at Bunkers.
It turns out that the last person I spoke with who actually defended Bunker's donuts hadn't eaten there in over 20 years. Typical of Jefferson. Lost in a time warp.
How do you spell Donuts? Hmmmmm. Thought we was college edjucated Rick.
According to "Webster's American Dictionary - College Edition", doughnuts can be spelled "doughnuts" or "donuts". Either way is acceptable.
