Chuck Honold and I saw a pig being drug around the square behind a pick-up about 3 AM. This was after walking into town from Perkin's Pond area where my car was stuck in the muddy road.
When someone told us about the pig, I somehow thought they meant a law enforcement person.
We never spent much time around the square because we were in fear of getting arrested. I did see someone light a full blown bonfire on the roof of their brother's car at Henderson Access, though.
For one more time, you guys just can't get it quite right. Did you ever live in Jefferson, Rick, or did they just hire you to come up with this? Now you got another guy, too. The strange stuff didn't happen on the square, it happened in the city and county parks, and at gravel pits. Believe it or not, the county parks used to get a lot more business than they do today. The really strange stuff happened in Perry, and still does.
I'll leave this info here since it is the first topic. Rich you don't have to log in. Google JIN, click on Bistro, click on post a comment, and choose Name/URL. Then you can be anyone. I've never had to log onto this site and actually don't know what you're talking about, unless they installed a special filter for you.
I witnessed an event that rarely takes place anymore in the Jefferson area. It was a picnic table eating contest that took place at 7 Hills Park. During an afternoon of partying, several people decided to see who could gnaw the most off a picnic table corner with their bare teeth in 5 minutes. The contestants went right after it and did not back off. Some gnawed 1"-2" and 10"-12" long. Looking back on it, it was amazing. I forget what happened after that.
hey rich - If you say you and Chuck saw a pig being dragged around the square, I believe you! Mostly because I think I know which Rich you are ..... and I remember talking about the incident!
I miss the old days of being able to drive around the square!! You do it now and you will be ran out of town!! Or arrested! The times when you used to be able to sit on Abe and hide your beer behind the statue. The square was the place to be! Chasing pu_ _ y around town cruising til curfew then going to some party. Or playing hacky sack in the middle of the road, the cops would come by but turn the corner before they got to us at 2 in the morning! Never bothered us at all! How bout climbing the Court House and getting in the balcony and just watching and drinking? Nobody knew we were there! Crazy days are gone!

Ever since I brought it up, I haven't had the problem. Even I can prove myself wrong.
That's because we removed the filter once you discovered it.

I can also remember getting kicked out of the Perry drive-in movie several times. I can never remember why to this day.

what about the huge fight on the square about 1985 or 86. Jefferson against Scranton. They had to open the dentist office the clinic.
Why did we drive around the square for hours?
