Lost But Not Forgotten

Are there any people you remember from Jefferson that you lost track of when you graduated or left town? Who are you looking for - maybe we can help.

There was a guy named Rich Russell that owes me $50. Has anyone heard from him? Like I said, he owes me money.

I know where most of the people are that I used to hang with, but Mike Kundraut fell off the planet. He used to drive an old blue car. We were driving toward Jefferson once and when we were going down the hill toward the golf course, the heater core blew and was spewing ugly crap into the car. We were all freaking out and then the hood latch failed and the hood opened, slamming back and covering the windshield. Kundraut stared through the crack under the hood and steered into Henderson, where we all survived. This happened in 1976 or 1977. Go figure.

That story reminds me of a concert at Vet's Auditorium a bunch of us went to in the late 70's. Randy Lane was driving some old beat up car, and when we left the concert, we discovered that some one had broken out one of his headlights. Lane got mad and proceeded to bust out the other one. Then we drove home in total darkness.

Randy Lane lives in Indianola - I saw him in July at his sister Penny's funeral.

What was the reason for Penny Lane's passing?

Whatever happened to Frank Umbaugh? He ran for sheriff once and I voted for him. I haven't heard from him since.

I think that the Rich Russell Tars is looking for is dead. He should try to collect his money from Rob Russell, with interest.

Whatever happened to Gladys Stuggart, Shotgun and the Holiday Boys (Christmas and Easter)? Add Brian Jess to that list.
