Global Warming

This summer has been one of the most moderate and pleasant that I can remember. Temperatures consistently are topping out in the 70's. Can we blame global warming for this latest trend?

It certainly might be some of the reason. I think it probably would not be wise to take a few months as a sample to prove/disprove climate change. While the weather this summer may just be explained by normal range of fluctuation, I would not rule out that climate change did not have some affect. The choatic nature of weather is what makes it hard to predict/explain in the short-term. Kind of like the Bear's passing game.

That is the crux of the problem. What model should we use?

If you look at the last ten years, our weather has been colder than average.

If you consider the last 100 years, our weather has been warmer than average.

If one looks at the last 500 years, our temperatures have been much colder than average.

Eight hundred years ago, crops were being grown and livestock raised in Greenland. We are far colder than that now throughout the world.

People should be very careful before they proclaim a long-term trend has developed and can be reversed by the actions of mankind.

Just where in the heck is Al Gore when he's needed to give his input?

I invented Greenland.

As usual, my comment will stand uncontested as fact.

You only need to hear this from me once - and if you can't spell my name, too bad.
